Hi {{first_name | friend}},
I’m on the first leg of my traveling book tour. As I prepare for in-studio podcast recordings in Vancouver, I sit with the question of: what does it mean to be humane?
For some, the meaning is influenced by the quality of life experienced today by an increased quantity of people compared to our predecessors. There indeed is much to be grateful for.
To me, being humane is simple: it means seeing every human being with dignity. People such as Inna, a dear family friend in Ukraine in need of support. Currently, Polish and Ukrainian relations have experienced a massive uptick in pain, with many individuals downright boycotting supporting people like her at all.
For me, the embodiment of humanity is seeing people like Inna as a soul who is simply deserving of living in peace. We have a chance to course-correct a turbulent history and current times by leaning in, refusing to see her through the lens of a painful past, and taking action for a mother wanting her children to live under bomb-free skies. If you agree, I created a fundraiser for her which you can check out below.
I talk about how we can continue this course correction for the world in my interviews with the Closer to Venus and New Books Network podcasts, make sure to give a listen with the links below. And make sure to check out other events I have in the books.
At the end of the day, it all starts with us. If you’re ready to explore increasing your capacity for your own humanity towards yourself, book time with me via the link below.
